has gloss	eng: US Post Office--Canandaigua is a historic post office building located at Canandaigua in Ontario County, New York. It is a three story granite building on a raised basement that was constructed in two phases between 1910 and 1938. It is one of only three post offices in New York State designed by private architects under contract to the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department during the period of the Tarnsey Act (enacted 1893, repealed 1913). Originally two stories high and containing only a post office, an enlargement in 1938 included a third floor federal courtroom and rear addition.
